We stopped in here on a very hot August day for lunch. It was Sunday after Mass and they only serve beer and wine until a certain time so I got a sangria, it was good, typical sangria. We ordered the queso with chorizo and chips, those were delicious. The grouper tacos were good, just good, not amazing. The kids had chicken and fries, the portions were sparse, maybe they should serve that on a smaller plate to make it look like more. The venue was cute, air conditioned, not too crowded. The prices were fair, considering the location. There were adorable places to sit outside, balcony too, but it was much too hot of a day. Overall it was a good experience. The waitress was great, the hostess was nice. Everyone did well.

Five star experience all courtesy of Steve! He was the most wonderful server! I have never experienced a server like that! He made sure that the kids were taken care of first and foremost. MHe came around to make sure that our drinks were still filled and gave us wonderful suggestions. I am not sure if I would have given five stars otherwise. The food was delicious though, I must say! The chips and queso was wonderful as well as the Chimichanga. The restaurant is super bright and trendy, I love the music inside. If you don't have strollers, it would be cool to sit outside and look out at the marina. Very nice place and will definitely return again!

Casa Reina Taqueria and Tequila Restaurant is a a fun and family friendly spot. The restaurant has beautiful views and is conveniently located in the historic St. Augustine area. We ate dinner here. When we arrived we were told it was a forty minute wait. But we said we would take a seat anywhere and ended up being seated in twenty minutes instead! It was a Friday evening. The view from the upper deck area is lovely. There is plenty of seating. There is also a lot of seating inside the restaurant as well. It is a large space in general. Ok, food and drinks lets talk! I ordered the Diablo Rosa. It was refreshing and had a nice kick of heat. We shared an order of taquitos. They unfortunately came to us cold. This made them not quite as enjoyable. I will say the flavor was delicious though. I ordered the carnitas platter. Omg, when they say platter they mean it! Definitely a large portion. The carnitas were yum! My husband ordered two orders of the tacos. Because they come in servings of two and he wanted four. He enjoyed all of them. But definitely wished he could have had the option to order the number of tacos he wanted. That way he could have tried a side. Our server was pleasant. It was a busy evening. I could tell she was doing her best because I saw her going around to many tables. I would return to Casa Reina. But perhaps for lunch or during a less popular time when they are not as busy. Hopefully the kitchen and staff will be a little less stressed.
